It’ll be Christmas time soon and New Year isn’t too far away either. With both of them about a month away it’s a good idea to check out places that offer the cheapest prices for things you intend buying. One such place to compare prices is SaveBuckets.co.uk.
The website has a clean interface that is rather intuitive and very familiar looking. If you’ve browsed through an online directory of some sort then you’ll have absolutely no problem with navigating this site. One great feature that the site has, is the ability to mention a price that you’re looking to pay for a product. Once that price is offered by any of their suppliers they’ll contact you. If, after two weeks, they can’t find anyone that meets that price then they’ll just mail you the cheapest price listed by their suppliers. Now how cool is that? They’ve also got an extensive list of stuff so using their search tools is probably a good idea.
My only gripe is that they could have offered better sorting tools. The present sort based on price or relevance doesn’t seem to help much while shopping. The lack of reviews or the popularity rating of the product is a minus but once you’ve got a product in mind, finding the cheapest price offered is a snap.
This site is definitely worth looking at before you go shopping.
Link hopping is kind of my hobby. On one such jaunt I turn up at top us online casinos. I may not be into casinos much but I do play the odd lottery game every once in a while and this looked like a decent place to make amends.
The reviews of each online casino seem well thought out and informative. I like the way everything is laid out, from the side tables to the neat presentation of facts. They even tell you when the last update was made so you know if the reviews are up to date or not. The whole website has this no nonsense, no frills look to it. It’s a site that does reviews and it seems to do that very well. A bit more content would be appreciated but it’s probably a good idea to leave out casinos outside the top ten.
The site does have a few problems though. The ‘About us’ page doesn’t seem to be displaying anything. That’s something they might want to fix soon. The dowload link on the homepage seems to timeout everytime I try it. The domain name is very direct but maybe a tad long. Nothing a bookmark can’t solve.
Overall, it’s a nice small site that does exactly what it says it does. Free access to quality reviews of top online casinos in the USA. No more, no less.
Marc’s blog seems to be sporting a few sponsored posts. While he’s cornered sponsoredreviews.com for himself, I thought I’d join in on the fun and went about searching for similar services. After a little searching around I found Smorty, a bright coloured, crisp looking site that has a very simplistic feel to it. All you need to know is right there on the homepage. Its a service connecting advertisers with bloggers and making sure everything goes smooth between them.
For the bloggers, what might seem interesting is the fact that they expect you to express your opinion and not push an advertisers product. They repeatedly emphasise on posting your opinion about any service or product. Their sign up is a single page and the whole process was a breeze. They took less than a day to verify my blog. My account already had 6 new offers under New Oppurtunities. The process here is that advertisers mention their offer and you select one that you’d like to write about. Once you submit your post it’ll be reviewed by both the advertiser and Smorty. Once its confirmed you’ll get paid within a week by Paypal. One thing to remember though is that there is a 400 word limit for each blog post. I’m not sure why they limit the amount of content. Also I was a tad disappointed with the offers. Almost all offered $6 for a blog post but since I’ve just started with them I’m guessing it’ll go up once I’m done with a few posts.
If you’re looking to be an advertiser then I guess you’re getting a pretty good deal. The testimonial page seems to rate them very highly. It seems like a great way to get high quality inbound links. Check them out if you’re interested:

I wonder how long it’ll take for my post to get reviewed (Edit: It takes around 2 days). I’ll post what happens after I submit this blog post.
Edit: Haha… The post was declined because I linked to Marc’s blog. A rule I seem to have missed - “Post can only contain sponsors links”. Resubmitting post.
