Marc’s blog seems to be sporting a few sponsored posts. While he’s cornered sponsoredreviews.com for himself, I thought I’d join in on the fun and went about searching for similar services. After a little searching around I found Smorty, a bright coloured, crisp looking site that has a very simplistic feel to it. All you need to know is right there on the homepage. Its a service connecting advertisers with bloggers and making sure everything goes smooth between them.
For the bloggers, what might seem interesting is the fact that they expect you to express your opinion and not push an advertisers product. They repeatedly emphasise on posting your opinion about any service or product. Their sign up is a single page and the whole process was a breeze. They took less than a day to verify my blog. My account already had 6 new offers under New Oppurtunities. The process here is that advertisers mention their offer and you select one that you’d like to write about. Once you submit your post it’ll be reviewed by both the advertiser and Smorty. Once its confirmed you’ll get paid within a week by Paypal. One thing to remember though is that there is a 400 word limit for each blog post. I’m not sure why they limit the amount of content. Also I was a tad disappointed with the offers. Almost all offered $6 for a blog post but since I’ve just started with them I’m guessing it’ll go up once I’m done with a few posts.
If you’re looking to be an advertiser then I guess you’re getting a pretty good deal. The testimonial page seems to rate them very highly. It seems like a great way to get high quality inbound links. Check them out if you’re interested:

money for nothing, next to nothing. it takes a while to build that minimum amount. thats frustrating. its not even funny.

SponsoredReviews.com is a better option if you have a blog that has a page rank of 3.
The post has been accepted. I wonder how long it’ll take for the payment though. Its been more than a week now.
Update from my end guys. The post is approved. But nothing has really gone to my bank account yet. It’s been 3 days since it’s approved :). Well, if something goes to my paypal account, then those guys will get some more review from my end :).
Marc, I’ll have a look at it too. I have quite few ‘general’ blogs, that have PR 3 and more :).
Why don’t one of you list all the review sites, thats honestly paid your, provided any of you have tried it in the past.

K latest update on smorty …
ahan… These ppl paid my $6 to my paypal account… haven’t checked my paypal account yet, got a payment notification mail, so I guess it must be done. Well not bad at all :P.. wrote a review on 7th - 8th and got paid within a week. As they mention it somewhere in their FAQ.
Now the next thing I need to test is to see how many offers they come up with? If they have around atleast 20 offers a month, then I guess it’s worth the effort… Need to test this for a month now ;).

Ok, got paid today morning. It took them close to a week to pay me. So in total it took me ten days to get paid. That includes the 2 days it took them to decline my post since it had a link to Marc’s blog.
Gautam, take a look over at Marc’s blog. He posted reviews about payperpost.com and sponsoredreviews.com. You might have to wade through a few posts to get to it though. One other thing, are you typing out the name of your site wrong on purpose? I thought it was a typo but thats the third time. Any particular reason? Or were your fingers just greasy?
Ahh, greasy fingers, had stored it wrong and the form filler was doing as instructed.
Will review both the sites today. Did search Marks blog, failed to find payperpost’s review. If you know the permalink pass it to me.
Also, I’m looking for some writers who can write for some of my clients regularly. Let’s say 200 articles/month, $200 - $250 / month, depending on how good they are. If you know any who are willing to pick it up, lemme know :).

Dude, this smorty place hates me. If I use arjie.com/blog it’s not a subdomain, if I use blog.arjie.com I don’t have enough index pages. Jesus man.
Hehe… Try it a few times. Anyway, smorty doesn’t have too many offers. Most are around $6. If I’m lucky I can catch about two $11 offers every month. You’re better off trying PayPerPost or SponsoredReviews.
Yeah, but PayPerPost is taking like forever to accept my blog and Sponsored Reviews, people just stopped. I don’t get any offers from them anymore.
I’ve never tried out Sponsored Reviews. I signed up and added a blog but I haven’t gone searching for any offers.
i think smoty is asking forcefully to bloggers to write some thing for them as compare with other websites they don’t ask bloggers to write any thing about them.
Not really, writing about smorty is an actual assignment that they pay your for.
